December Town Council Meeting, 7 p.m. Monday

The Council will continue the discussion, from August, of State land use legislation and needed changes in Town ordinance to conform to that. Per the meeting minutes from August 2023, the Council will discuss proposed amendments as recommended by the town solicitor. Background materials can be viewed here.
The Council will continue the discussion of changes along Charlestown Beach Road to promote safety. The October meeting minutes and newer information for this meeting can be viewed here.
The Council will discuss the possibility of a Ninigret Park Seasonal, Part-Time Maintenance and Groundskeeper Position, as recommended by the Parks and Recreation Commission. The background information is here.
Suicide Prevention Training, 6 p.m. Wednesday
This short 75 minute training session is designed to provide suicide intervention tools to people who may be in a position to witness someone in crisis. You can read more in the agenda packet here. Anyone is welcome to attend.
