Rep. Tina Spears: Charlestown Public Meeting Saturday, June 24

Representative Tina Spears, District 36, is holding another in-person Town Hall discussion on Saturday, June 24, starting at 10:30 AM at the Cross Mills Library.

She will review the legislative wins in the session just ended and the work that lies ahead.

Here is a message from Rep. Spears: It is hard to believe my first session as a RI State Representative has come to a close! It was a very hectic 6 months learning new systems and getting to know my colleagues, but I am thrilled that we won some clear and important victories. I was so thrilled by how many of you participated, spoke up, came to the State House and asked good questions. Our democracy is only healthy if we engage, and none of the progress we made this year would have been possible without your support.

There is much more to do, and I'd love to discuss with you the progress we made and the challenges ahead at a community meeting in our district on Saturday. Please come, and bring a friend!

Representative Spears (D-Dist. 36, Charlestown, Westerly, South Kingstown, New Shoreham), a first-term representative, has made improving housing affordability and protecting the environment top priorities.
