The Charlestown Town Council is having their second business meeting of the month on Monday, February 27 starting at 7:00 pm.
The agenda and supporting documents can be read here.
Here are some of the interesting topics
Scott Keeley will appear under persons wishing to be heard to speak about signage at the town beaches. He will bring some proposals that can be seen in the supporting documents.
The Council plans a discussion about the Town Administrator Search Committee. This will include priorities for qualifications for committee members. It will also direct the Search Committee to Draft the Job Position Posting, Including Appropriate Qualifications, and Determine Media Outlets and Other Venues for Posting. A lot of information, including minutes of the previous search committee in 2012-13 is included in the supporting documents.
The Council will discuss an intent to create an Affordable Housing Trust fund.
The Council will discuss whether to request the Planning Commission and the Town Planner to develop an Advisory Opinion to the Town Council Regarding Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance to Allow Subdivision Development Applicants to Select from Among Conventional, Cluster and Conservation Development Options, by April 10, 2023. This is a significant increase in flexibility for land owners. Only limited information is available. This appears to be a new initiative by Councilmember Stephen Stokes.
As usual public attendance in person in town hall is allowed. The session will be offered as a live stream to view through WebEx as described in the agenda. People watching online will not be able to comment or ask questions. The video of the session should be available for viewing at your leisure sometime on Tuesday on the meetings page. It will be down the page in the Past Meetings section.
