Finally, the event that most of the town wanted, and even fought vigorously for more than a year, is on the doorstep. PVD Food Trucks is bringing Charlestown Craves Ninigret Food Truck Nights to the field near the playground in the park this Thursday night, May 4 starting at 5 pm. And how appropriate, it just happens to be Rhode Island Independence Day.
The event is free, just bring your appetite, and maybe a couple of lawn chairs or a blanket, there will be live music playing and Ninigret Park has plenty of space for the kids to run around and play. Friendly, leashed pets are allowed but not encouraged, and patrons are not permitted to bring coolers or alcohol to these events. Trinity Brewhouse will be on hand, serving beer and wine.
Oh, and if you bring a light saber, be responsible, and make sure you don’t menace any birds!
