We are pleased to announce that the Charlestown Police Department has successfully completed its requirements to become re-certified with the RI Police Accreditation Commission (RIPAC). RIPAC Executive Director Christine Crocker has just recently notified Chief Michael Paliotta and the Chief has extended written recognition and appreciation to all the members of the CPD:
“I am honored to announce a great accomplishment on the part of all members of the Charlestown Police Department. We have been awarded our second State accreditation by RIPAC.
It truly takes a dedicated team to make police accreditation a reality. Each of you is to thank for this accomplishment. I thank you all for your dedication to duty and commitment to the community of Charlestown. It has once again resulted in Charlestown Police Department being recognized as one of a select number of state accredited law enforcement agencies in our region.
Special thanks is due to Lt. Philip GIngerella and Admin. Assistant Lynn Mathews for their continuing work at administering our accreditation program. To anyone that has been involved with police accreditation, this is no small task and their efforts are much appreciated.
Once again, thank you all and 'Congratulations' on this great accomplishment.
Serving with Pride and Integrity. Duty, Honor, Valor.”
Chief Paliotta
