Craig T. Marr - Town Council

Craig has been active in civic life for most of his life.  At age sixteen Craig joined the Cos Cob Volunteer Fire Company in Greenwich, CT where he later served as 2nd Lieutenant and then as President of the department.

Craig was also an elected member of the Greenwich Representative Town Meeting, one of the largest legislative bodies in the United States.

Before moving to Rhode Island almost sixteen years ago, Craig enjoyed a successful business career; Serving as Vice President, Corporate Development US Interactive, Partner, Vice President Poppe Tyson Advertising, Sr. Vice President The Walter Karl Companies and CEO Innovate M Advertising.

After moving to Rhode Island Craig joined the Watch Hill Fire Department where he was awarded Member of the Year.

In 2011 Craig came out of a short retirement and opened The Breachway Grill.  Now in it’s fourteenth successful year of operation Craig has stepped down from the day-to-day management allowing him more time to devote to volunteer endeavors.  

Craig has served as the President of the Charlestown Chamber of Commerce from 2019 to present and has served on the Charlestown Economic Improvement Commission since 2018 and as Chair from 2019 to the present.
