Charlestown Residents United (CRU)
Effective Date: March 9, 2025Charlestown Residents United (CRU) is a non-partisan political action committee (PAC) dedicated to advocating for the interests of Charlestown, Rhode Island residents. By making a donation to CRU, you agree to the following terms:
1. Contribution Eligibility
   •    You must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
   •    You must donate using your own funds and not on behalf of another person or entity.
   •    Contributions must not be from corporations, labor unions, federal contractors, or foreign nationals.
2. Contribution Limits & Reporting
   •    CRU complies with all applicable campaign finance laws and regulations.
   •    Donations may be subject to contribution limits as established by Rhode Island state law.
   •    Contributions over a certain threshold may be reported to the appropriate regulatory agencies, as required by law.
3. No Refund Policy
   •    All donations are final and non-refundable unless there was an error in processing.
   •    If a donation was made in error, please contact us at crunited1@gmail.com within 7 days for assistance.
4. Use of Funds
   •    Donations will be used to support CRU’s mission, including community outreach, voter education, and advocacy efforts.
   •    CRU reserves the right to allocate funds as needed to further its initiatives.
5. Tax Disclaimer
   •    Contributions to CRU are not tax-deductible as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes.

6. Data Privacy
   •    Donor information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
   •    CRU does not sell or share donor information except as required by law.
